Privacy policy
Updated: 24 October 2026. MiniRailsMR collects and processes user data for the features below, including when you have no website account. Some data stays in headset memory; other data is retained locally, by Meta or on our server, as explained here.
Data processed by Meta Horizon platform features
USER_ID
App-scoped Meta user ID: identifying the player, checking access to the game and associating achievements and scores. Optional website sign-in also processes your organisation-scoped ID; both IDs are then stored with the website account until its deletion.
USER_PROFILE
Alias, display name and profile identifier returned by Meta: showing your account and the authors of records. Your alias is saved in headset preferences; leaderboard profiles remain in session memory. The website stores your alias if you sign in. The game does not download or display profile pictures.
USER_AGE
Meta age category (child, teen, adult or unknown): applying account-service restrictions, including blocking the website-account link for children or unknown ages. The category stays in session memory, is not saved and is not sent to our website. We do not request a date of birth.
IAP
Product SKU, price, Joyau des Indes purchase entitlement, purchase outcome and download status: displaying, buying, restoring and opening the DLC. Meta handles payment; we do not receive payment-card details. The Meta SDK maintains its purchase cache; the game locally records that the DLC was previously opened. See purchase diagnostics below.
FRIENDS
For the Friends leaderboard, Meta filters eligible players using friendship relationships. The game receives the corresponding profiles, aliases, ranks and scores for comparison with yours. It does not download a general contact list or copy these relationships to our server. Retrieved results stay in memory; submitted best times are associated with your Meta account and visible in leaderboards.
DEEP_LINKING
This permission is requested as a dependency of Meta achievements. The game reads and submits player-associated achievement identifiers and unlock states; progress is saved on the headset and synchronised with Meta. The current version does not read or retain deep-link destinations or launch parameters. The website can query your achievements after voluntary sign-in.
The choice is remembered for your Meta account on the headset using a local fingerprint; neither the fingerprint nor your age category is sent to the website. Purchase IDs and raw Meta errors are excluded from build 125 statistics. Earlier versions may have sent them; previously received data remain subject to the 13-month retention period.
Controller and contact
MiniRailsMR and minirailsmr.com are operated by Comme une horloge, Paris, France. Contact: contact@minirailsmr.com.
Optional website sign-in
Optional website sign-in uses Meta Quest SSO. The site receives your organisation-scoped and app-scoped Meta IDs and your alias, then queries your trophies from Meta. It does not request email, photos or friends. Sign-in proofs are temporary; a web session keeps you signed in. No headset pairing is required. SSO is unavailable to users under 13.
Game, achievements and age group
Build 125 · Statistics are off for child accounts and while the Meta age group or account is unverified. You can still play. With your consent, Commeunehorloge receives your gameplay actions and performance measurements, game version, language and headset model, linked to a random identifier. These statistics help improve the game, without advertising. Retention: 13 months. Optional: declining does not affect the game. You can withdraw consent in Options. This deletes queued data on your headset, not data already received. The game’s “Report a problem” button and the minirailsmr.com/aide page send, at your request, the game’s technical context (version, headset, layout, challenge, last in-game actions) and your message; your e-mail and a screenshot only if you provide them. They are used only to fix the game and reply to you, and are deleted after 12 months. From build 125, recent actions are attached only when statistics are allowed. Report identifiers are independent of the statistics identifier.
Hosting and recipients
The website and database are hosted by Hetzner in Germany. Meta provides sign-in verification and achievement sync. No commercial sharing of data with third parties. Cloudflare proxies and protects the website, processing IP addresses and requests passing through its international network. This means that not all processing is limited to Germany. The site uses a language preference cookie and, after voluntary sign-in, session cookies. Website traffic is measured without cookies: pages viewed, clicks on a few buttons, the site you came from, the campaign tag of the link followed, country and device type. The IP address is only used to recognise a visitor for a single day, as a fingerprint whose key is erased daily; it is not stored. Browsers sending Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track are not counted.
Retention and your rights
The profile is retained until account deletion. Web sessions last up to 30 days and sign-in requests 10 minutes. Previous accounts and circuits are retained until deletion is requested. For access, correction or deletion, contact contact@minirailsmr.com. Audience statistics are kept for 13 months, then deleted.
Excluded uses
No targeted advertising, advertising trackers, data resale or third-party audience analytics. The game has no chat or matchmaking.
Request deletion of your data
Email contact@minirailsmr.com with the subject “MiniRailsMR — data deletion”, even if you have no website account. Give your Meta alias and what you want deleted (website account, scores/achievements, report or diagnostics). Include a report code if available, or the email used for an older account. Do not send passwords or payment-card numbers. We will request only the information needed to verify your request and locate your data.
Your request may cover your website profile, associated Meta IDs, sessions, tokens, old layouts, and reports or diagnostics that we can identify from your request. We delete data under our control, subject to applicable legal obligations, and explain the action taken. Local headset data also requires clearing the app’s data; restoring a backup may restore those data.
Meta manages its platform purchases, achievements and leaderboards. Contact us about these data: we will handle actions available to the developer and direct you to Meta for matters concerning its account, transactions or backups. Deleting a website account does not automatically delete your Meta account, purchases or headset backups.
